"San Marino" by Laykin et Cie is a beautiful feminine expression of the magnificent rose garden at the world famous Huntington Gardens. These gardens planted by Henry Huntington over 150 years ago serve as a centerpiece to San Marino, California one of the nation's most exclusive residential enclaves and home of Laykin et Cie since it's relaunch in 2016.
Mr. Laykin worked on this scent with his team for over two years to produce a natural product that reflected his initial inspiration of working in perfume, an encounter with Annick Goutal in San Francisco in 1985 when she made her American debut of "Eau D'hadrian". Laykin said; "Annick's passion for her craft and honest and unencumbered approach to her fragrances was a bell weather moment for me. She allowed her inspiration to be at the forefront of the product, the scent....not the commercialization"
The bottle reflects the simple and restrained elegance of Laykin et Cie and features an embossed and beveled metal label which carries the "San Marino" logo in Mr. Laykin's own handwriting.
Each bottle is delivered in a beautiful black draw-string jewelry pouch featuring the gold embossed Laykin et Cie logo.
